As confirmed way back in February, Archos is holding a press event in France to reveal its Android powered Internet Media Tablet (IMT) in Q3 or Sep 15 to be precise. Before the official unveiling, Archos is looking to ready a handful of Android apps and for which they have launched AppsLib where developers can submit their applications adhering to Archos’ upcoming product guidelines like support for a 5-inch screen with WVGA (800×480) resolution or at 720p resolution via HDMI-out and OpenGL libraries.
Other specs expected to make this IMT, a powerhouse will be OMAP3 CPU, 7.2Mbps HSDPA, up to 500GB of storage, Adobe Flash support and battery life of around 7 hours.
