Samsung and Sprint have announced Reclaim that aims to ‘reclaim’ our environment by using eco-friendly materials. The phone oozes greenness with its 40 percent use of bio-plastic made from corn and is free from materials like PVC and BFR. The packaging has also been given the green treatment with 70 percent of recycled materials, soy-based ink and a charger that consumes 12 percent less power and notifies to unplug it from the outlet.
In addition to the green features, it has a slide-out QWERTY keyboard, GPS, Bluetooth, 2 megapixel camera, microSD card slot up to 32GB and one-touch access to various social networking sites.
Reclaim will be available from August 16 for $50 after $80 rebates ($30 instant and $50 mail-in) and two-year contract.
