UPDATE: China Unicom says the deal is not finalized yet and is under discussion.
An interesting battle is expected to arise when the original iPhone will soon sell in a land of so many iPhone wannabes. Shanghai Securities News is reporting that Apple has reached an agreement with China Unicom to sell iPhones in China.
The deal will last for three years where China Unicom will pick each iPhone for around 3,000 Yuan ($439) and guarantee annual sales of a minimum 1 million units. The agreement is also said to have no clause for any revenue sharing model which Apple wanted but was rejected by the Chinese operators.
It’s not confirmed but Apple might sell iPhones in China with no Wi-Fi.
