Microsoft will be selling Home Premium and Professional versions at a very low cost but will vary according to the region. However, Windows 7 Ultimate is not a part of this preorder. The pricing of Windows 7 preorder is as follows:

For users not preordering or missing the preorder, the upgrade will be available on Vista and XP licenses. The Home Premium will go for $119.99, Professional for $199.99 and Ultimate for $219.99. EU won’t get any upgrade but instead Microsoft will be selling full versions at upgrade price.

May I dare ask, why us Indians are not getting the low-priced upgrade? This is disappointing. When Chinese will hear the news, they will try to get the pirated copes even more. All of the efforts of Microsoft to stop the Chinese from using a pirated copy of their OS will go down the drain!
