Rumor: Palm to come out with a smaller Pre like device this year

Oh yea, this was on the cards but I didn’t expect to see the miniaturized version of Pre to come out this year, not even rumored. But contrary to my belief, Palm is already readying another webOS enabled device to complement the Pre says Techcrunch’s source.
“Palm is very far along on a second Pre-like device and currently has plans to put it on the market in the late part of 2009, possibly as early as the Fall.”
The intrinsic details (like full QWERTY or only touchscreen, dimensions etc.) are not clear but it is said to be “addressing a different part of the market.” Different part of the market? Does it mean a smaller GSM based Pre sibling? Quite possible. We’ll keep you updated if we stumble on something more substantial.
