Wii has not been a complete multimedia package like other consoles and thus, Nintendo never felt the need to give a mega storage space with it. But that has not led few people, at least this guy to accept this fact and ventured on his own to give Wii, the missing HDD.
Of course, he did lose the warranty (if he cared!) but the end result gave him a permanent 120GB HDD storage that is attached under the chassis and utilizes Wii’s USB port.
The modder used a 1.8-inch Samsung HS120JB IDE/PATA with zif connector HDD and managed to put it without disturbing Wii’s DVD drive.
For all those wishing to play backups via USB or want to do mod your Wii just for the heck of it, he has promised to publish a DIY tutorial soon.
