Sony Ericsson announced two new phones for those seeking a cheap yet quality music player or a handy video recorder with decent functions. First up is the W205 phone which will be available in Q3 and brings the goodness of Walkman features. On the music front, it also has a FM Radio, stereo Bluetooth and TrackID that can be used to recognize songs or record a sample of the song to set it as a ringtone.
W205 works on dual band GSM network and has a 1.3MP camera, Opera Mini browser, multiple phonebooks, 1.8-inch 65k color display, 5MB internal memory which can be expanded with M2 cards up to 2GB. It has a talk time of up to 9 hours, music up to 13.5 hours and estimated standby up to 425 hours.
S312 will sell from this Quarter and gives video recording benefits with the help an integrated dedicated key, 2MP camera and illuminated imaging shortcuts. A music player, dual band GSM, Bluetooth with A2DP, FM Radio, M2 expansion and talk time/standby time is up to 8 hours/400 hours respectively.
