iPhone with 3.2MP sensor and an unknown 5MP Apple device in the works

Renowned Taiwanese rumor monger has published a news report which makes a perfect piece for yet another juicy iPhone rumor. According to them, OmniVision has grabbed an Apple order for providing a 3.2MP CMOS image sensor for the next iPhone variant. This claim isn’t that surprising because an evolved iPhone with a higher resolution camera would be a logical move.
However, here’s the surprising part. The report also mentions that OmniVision has also got orders for providing 5 megapixel sensors for an unnamed Apple device. I am not sure but it could be for a netbook, tablet or even a 3G iPod Touch.

The Apple rumor mill is once again running overtime on the topic of netbooks. If you believe the reports, Steve Jobs is himself leading the charge. My take: Whatever Apple does, it won?t be a netbook in the usual sense, I also bet that Apple, if it does anything, will itself avoid using the n-word to describe it.
