While PS3 is still in line to get a price cut, Sony has come forward and announced the price cut of its predecessor. The long service Playstation2 console will now be sold just under $100 in US from April 1, which is tomorrow. It is rather a smart move for an aging console that has been filling Sony’s cash pots since 2000. A $100 bill won’t hurt a gamer who is dabbling console gaming for the first time.
The European PS2 price has also been slashed at EUR99 (except UK).
