Sony is proud to announce its first digital camera, HX1 to feature sweep panorama technology. With HX1, a user can shoot panoramic photos up to 224-degree horizontally and 154-degree vertically. It continuously shoots pictures at full 9.1MP resolution and then the imaging processor stitches the photos automatically to give the best output.
It also uses 1/2.4-inch Exmor CMOS sensor, Sony G lens and supports 1080p video recording, marking it as the first Cyber-shot camera to have it. Other things you can expect from it is intelligent scene recognition, image stabilizer, face detection, smile shutter and dynamic range optimizer.
The HX1 will be available from April for $500 with pre-orders starting from this month.
