Taking legal assistance is not the only thing Intel is doing. They have reportedly released a document titled Nvidia Ion Competitive Position Guide that says against the Ion platform.

Intel’s document is presumably released to vendors who are contemplating of selling Ion based systems. The document squabbles that Nvidia’s Ion is derived from MCP79M/NCP7A chipset which is not new but slyly ignores the fact that the Atom is based 945GSE chipsets that are around 4 years old.
