Dell announces Software Download Store

Dell has launched an online store to cater to the software needs of the customers. The Download Store is touted to be the first online software superstore wherein individual user as well as SMEs can order software titles, download them and manage volume software licenses within the included Dell Locker. In a nutshell, this store encourages digital downloads and is similar to what iTunes and other stores are for music.

The store is limited to US right now and includes software from 12 companies – Mcafee, Microsoft, Roxio, Kaspersky and so on.
