If you thought RIM’s flip-out keyboard was out of the roof, then take a look at this one. The Origami inspired patent shows a Nokia device (purportedly Communicator) sporting hinges to complete a four-way folding mechanism. Not that we are completely against it, but how can someone come up with such a uniquely bizarre phone design? How do you fold it first – horizontally or vertically? Lots of questions are running through our minds right now but we’ll leave it to next time until we see something substantial developing on this form factor.
