The world is going to see a surge in the availability of 8-megapixel phones soon. Samsung without any hoopla launched M880 Pixon, their second 8-megapixel phone. This time Samsung decided to ride the phone on its native TouchWiz UI with lots of features to please the photography enthusiasts. The Pixon has a 3.2-inch touch screen with handwriting recognition, GPS, Accelerometer and even DivX playback but no Wi-Fi. The phone will start retailing from November 10 at price of 550 Euros ($880).

The Samsung M8800 Pixon is all about multimedia – a superb camera, and a superb music player. 8 megapixel autofocus camera with LED flash and lens protectionis the headline feature of this phone, though, these days 8mp cameraphones are still rather exotic. As for looks the Pixon has plastic casing and it is akin to a number of similar Samsung devices, TOCCO F480, S5230 Star…
