Wow is the word to describe this. Canon has put a lot of efforts in churning out the successor of EOS 5D. EOS 5D Mark II is a full frame camera equipped with 21.1 megapixel power. This compact mammoth houses DIGIC IV imaging processor for smooth color tones and gradation, higher ISO sensitivity range which starts from 50 which go up to 25,600 with exceptionally low noise. Canon has also integrated HD recording (1920 x 1080 pixels) as well as SD recording (640 x 480 pixels) functionality which does it pretty well at 30fps. However, video recording comes with some restriction. The restriction is the usage of 4GB of memory or 30 minutes of recording, whichever comes first.
Most of the other features present in EOS 5D Mark II are already present in Canon’s another DLSR, EOS 50D. It has got a 3-inch VGA LCD, Peripheral Illumination Correction, Integrated Cleaning System, Creative Auto Mode (CA) and two small RAW formats enabling the user to shoot RAW images at 10 megapixel (sRAW1) or 5 megapixel (sRAW2).
EOS 5D Mark II is slated to arrive on retail shelves by end of November with a price tag of $2,699 for the body or $3,499 for the whole kit which includes Canon’s EF 24-105mm f/4L IS USM zoom lens.
