Research in Motion announced their first ever Blackberry flip phone. Coming from the Pearl series, this one will give the user all the benefits of push e-mail in a small form factor. 8220 has two screens – external and internal both producing a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and 240 x 320 pixels respectively. It borrows the same Suretype keyboard layout and includes EDGE and Wi-Fi as the connectivity options.
There’s also a GPS receiver integrated, Bluetooth 2.0 with A2DP, music player and microSDHC card compatible. The phone’s 900 mAh battery has enough juice to pull off 4 hours worth of talk time and over 14 hours as standby.
