Sony rolls out PS3 firmware update v2.42
Sony has released yet another update for PS3. Users can update their consoles to version 2.42 now which will improve playback quality of some PLAYSTATION 3 and PlayStation format software. No other details can be found until the changelog is posted. [Via PS Blog]
PS3 firmware v2.41 available
Sony has announced the patched up firmware v2.41 over v2.40 for PS3 users. 2.40 included in-game XMB and Trophy features but some users experienced bricking their consoles after updating. The firmware is available for download. Sony PS Blog
PS3 firmware update 2.40 now available

PS3 gets v2.36 and PSP v4.00
If you own any of these consoles, then head over to system update to upgrade the firmware. As mentioned before PSP 4.00 does not boast any great changes other than addition of Google search and video speed control. On the other hand, PS3’s v2.36 improves system stability when playing select PlayStation format software titles.
Nokia N95 US version gets an updated firmware
