China-based Colorful has announced a new M.2 SSD. In collaboration with Yangtze Memory (YMTC) and Maxio Technology for the flash component and the NVMe controller, this is Colorful’s first PCIe 3.0 NVMe-based WarHalberd CN600 SSD.
Designed for PCs, laptops, and other computing devices, the NVMe-based SSD comes in a standard 2280 M.2 form factor and uses a PCIe 3.0 x4 interface that helps to deliver sequential read speeds of up to 3300MB/s and up to 2600MB/s for sequential write.
Colorful will sell the SSDs in two capacities — 256GB and 512GB capacities for $39 and $59 respectively. There’s no word on the Indian pricing.
The 128GB CN600 retails for Rs. 2,149 in India currently.
