Redmi launches Redmi Note 10S and Redmi watch

Redmi Note10S
Redmi India expanded its Note series with the Redmi Note 10S. It also launched its smartwatch, Redmi watch. Redmi Note 10S sits in between the Redmi Note 10 and Redmi Note 10 Pro. Redmi Note 10S will be the first device to come with MIUI 12.5 (interim) out-of-the-box, which as per Redmi, is the cleanest MIUI experience ever.

Redmi Note 10S

Redmi Note 10S is powered by a MediaTek Helios G95 chipset and comes with 6GB of RAM. It has a UFS 2.2 high-speed storage. Redmi Note 10S has a display of 6.43-inch that is Full HD+ and Super AMOLED. It has 1000 nits of brightness and features 180Hz touch sampling rate. Redmi Note 10S features a bezel-less display with one of the smallest 3.5mm dot-notch on the front. The dual stereo speaker setup adds to the sound enhancement.

In terms of camera, Redmi Note 10S comes with a quad-camera setup with 64-megapixel primary camera, 8-megapixel ultra-wide lens, 2-megapixel macro camera and 2-megapixel depth sensor. The MIUI customisations on the camera app have been enhanced to suit new age social media creators, with features such as skyscraping, colour focus, pro colour and the all-new pro-time-lapse mode. The new feature will allow users to shoot time-lapse videos even under the most complex lighting conditions. Redmi Note 10S features a 13-megapixel front in-display camera for selfies.

The new Redmi Note 10S is the first device in India to feature the latest MIUI 12.5 (Interim) update out-of-the-box. The latest version of MIUI 12.5 focuses on enhancing the overall user experience and will be cleaner, faster and simply more efficient at doing things. In order to deliver an optimized system experience, the company has re-written the system UI, which helps reduce core scene memory usage by 20% and power consumption by up to 15%, thereby providing longer battery life. At last, Redemi will give control in the hands of the consumer, now users have the freedom to uninstall and remove pre-loaded applications they don’t want on their device.

Redmi Note 10S retains the new EVOL design offering a refined look and premium feel. It comes in three colour variants Deep Sea Blue, Frost White and Shadow Black. The new arch-side fingerprint sensor sits flush on the side of the device. The smartphone also comes with a 3.5mm audio jack.

Redmi Note 10S feature a 5000mAh battery with a 33W Fast-charger in the box. It lets you charge 0-100% in around 78 mins and upto 54% charge in just 30 mins. Redmi Note 10S also comes with an ultra-battery saving mode that helps in preserving battery life.

Redmi Note 10S will be available across Mi.com, Amazon.in, Mi Home and Mi Studio stores starting 12:00 noon starting 18th May 2021. It will also be soon available across all 10,000+ retail stores. The retail price is Rs. 14,999 for the 6GB+64GB variant, Rs. 15,999 for 6GB+128GB .

Redmi Watch


Redmi watch is designed to empower active lifestyles of all kinds. It features a 1.4-inch high-resolution colour display that provides sharp and clear visuals indoors, as well as under direct sunlight. It also sports an ambient light sensor that enhances the viewing experience by automatically adjusting the display brightness based on the lighting and environment conditions. With 200+ watch faces and 4 changeable colour straps, the watch simply blends in with any outfit and can be customized based on the look of the day. Weighing just 35g, Redmi Watch is super light, making it a comfortable companion for the wrist all day long.

Featuring an in-built GPS + GLONASS, the new Redmi smartwatch allows users to accurately track their trajectory, speed, distance, and calories burnt during workouts. It simultaneously also keeps a check on heart rate to provide a clear and detailed status for workout sessions. The smartwatch comes with 11 professional sports modes such as Cricket, walking, cycling, trekking, outdoor running, treadmill, pool swimming, freestyle, etc that automatically keep track of the activity in real-time. In addition, it provides professional-level health monitoring with advanced health features, such as heart rate monitoring, sleep monitoring and guided breathing.

With the advanced PPG sensors, the Redmi watch detects heart rate 24 hours a day and notifies in case of irregular heart rate fluctuations above normal levels. It also saves the resting heart rate data for 30 days to help monitor long-term heart rate changes. On the other hand, the sleep monitoring feature analyzes sleep quality by recording the deep sleep and light sleep duration of the user.

Additionally, the Redmi Watch also brings a host of other features straight to the wrist such as music control, idle alert, weather information, alarm, emoji support, app notifications, call silence/reject and much more. Users can control and set up all these features on the smartwatch via their phone through the Xiaomi Wear app (available on Google Play Store).

With a 230mAh battery, the Redmi Watch can last up to 10 days on a single charge. It comes with a POGO pin charger that charges 100% in less than 2 hours.

The smartwatch comes with 5ATM water resistance which means it can track and record movements underwater.

Redmi Smart Watch will be available for Rs. 3,999 starting May 25, 2021, 12:00 noon across Mi.com, Flipkart, Mi Homes and Mi Studios. The watch case is available in Ivory, Black, Blue colour and straps in Ivory, Black, Blue, Olive.
