With work from home becoming the new normal and kids studying online, it’s never been a better time than this for PCs/Laptop manufacturers. Xiaomi has timed its launch of Mi Notebooks very well and like its smartphones, the prices of these notebooks with the hardware specifications that they come with will surely intensify the competition.

There are two variants of the notebooks, Mi NoteBook 14 and Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition. Powering these notebooks are the latest 10th generation Intel Core processors. Categorised under Thin and Light category, both these notebooks weigh under 2Kgs and feature magnesium-alloy body.

The complete series comes with 8GB DDR4 RAM and is preloaded with Windows 10 Home Edition and offers DTS Audio Processing. One can also use Mi Quickshare to share files between Android smartphone and Mi NoteBooks. If you use a Mi Band, you can unlock the Mi NoteBook using the same.

The flagship device, Mi Notebook 14 Horizon Edition features a 14-inch display Full-HD display with 91% Screen to Body Ratio. The 16:9 screen has a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and features an anti-glare coating to avoid reflections and reduce strain to your eyes. Focused on Performance at value, the Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition is powered by 10th Gen Intel Core i7 processors and a discrete GPU – Nvidia GeForce MX350. It is also equipped with 8GB DDR4 RAM clocked and a 512GB M.2 PCI-E Gen 3×4 NVMe SSD.

The battery of the Horizon Edition is 46Wh that as per Xiaomi lasts for up to 10 hours. It comes with a 65W fast charger and powers the battery from 0 to 50% in just over 30 mins.

The budget-friendly yet performance-focused model, the Mi NoteBook 14, which will be lapped up by business and casual users is powered by 10th Gen Intel Core i5 processor. There are three models in this series. All have 8GB DDR4 RAM, however, only one model comes with NVIDIA 250 GPU. The storage is up to 512GB in two models and the base variant comes with 256GB storage. The SSDs in this series are SATA based unlike PCIe in the Horizon Edition.

Mi NoteBook 14 Horizon Edition and Mi NoteBook will be available in Mercury Grey colour and Silver colour respectively. Mi NoteBook Horizon Edition starts at Rs. 54,999 and Mi NoteBook starts from Rs. 41,999. These will be available on Mi.com, Mi Homes, Amazon.in and offline retail partners. The notebooks do not have integrated webcams, hence Xiaomi offers free Mi HD Webcam along with the notebooks.

As a launch offer, Xiaomi offers up to Rs. 2000 discount on using HDFC debit and credit cards, valid till 16th July 2020. There is also an extended No Cost EMI option for up to 9 months. Mi NoteBook series will go on sale across platforms on 17th June 2020.
