Asus launched the successor to its gaming phone ROG (Republic of Gamers). Being a gaming phone, the ROG Phone II comes with flagship specs like Snapdragon 855+ processor and 8GB+128GB and 12GB+512GB options. The Asus ROG Phone II is the world’s first phone to feature a 120Hz/1ms 6.59-inch HDR AMOLED display. This is protected by Gorilla Glass 6.
The phone packs a massive 6000mAh battery and supports 30W fast charging, however, in the retail box, Asus will bundle 18W charger with 8GB variant and 30W charger with 12GB variant. Since its a gaming phone, the USB Type-C port for charging is on the side of the phone instead of top or bottom. The phone also features AirTrigger II technology for gaming controls. For sound, there are dual front-facing speakers at the top and bottom of the phone.
As a gaming phone, the Asus ROG Phone II supports a plethora of accessories like the ROG Kunai Gamepad, TwinView Dock II, and more. ROG Phone II also supports Qualcomm aptX, aptX HD and aptX Adaptive for low-latency high-quality audio over Bluetooth connections.
With regards to the imaging, the ROG Phone II comes with dual rear camera setup of 48-megapixel SONY IMX586 sensor and 13-megapixel ultra-wide lens. The front camera is 24-megapixel. The primary camera features HDR+ Enhanced, and Super Night mode. It also supports Slo-mo up to 480fps, Panorama, and Pro Mode with up to 48MP. Both the front and the back cameras support Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS).
For games, Asus has partnered with game developers like Blazing Games Inc., Capcom, Gameloft, and MADFINGER Games that provide exclusive in-game content for ROG Phone and ROG Phone II, and the optimization of games to take advantage of the unique capabilities of ROG Phone II and its hardware ecosystem.
The 8GB+128GB version retails for Rs. 37,999 and the 12GB+512GB version will retail for Rs.59,999 and will be available from Flipkart.com.
