Honor launched its Smart TV, the Honor Vision at the Huawei Developers Congress in China. The Smart TVs are powered by its self-developed Harmony OS. The OS is open source and will be available to developers. Huawei wants to focus on Harmony OS as it wants less dependency on Google in the future. The OS supports Huawei’s smart ecosystem and would also feature on Smart Bands, Smart Phones and other products. Honor Vision is powered by Huawei’s Honghu 818 chipset that is specially designed for smart screens. This chipset is also available to other manufacturers.
Honor Vision comes in 55-inch screen size with 4K HDR display. There are two models of the TV, Vision and Vision Pro. The Vision comes with 2GB RAM and 16GB storage and the Pro version with 2GB RAM and 32GB storage. Honor Vision is built of 6.9mm full metal frame and a diamond pattern rear. The Smart TV is also certified by TÜV Rheinland for Eye Comfort Mode.
In terms of connectivity, the Smart TVs come with Wifi, Bluetooth 5.0, Ethernet port, 3 x HDMI 2.0 ports and 1 x USB 3.0 port.
The HONOR Vision series includes the 2GB+16GB standard version and the 2GB+32GB PRO version. The TVs are available in China and priced at RMB 3,799 (Rs. 38,000 approx) and RMB 4,799 (Rs. 48,000 approx) respectively.
