Qualcomm announces Snapdragon 855 Plus mobile processor

Qualcomm’s latest mobile processor, Snapdragon 855 has received a mild upgrade with the introduction of the Snapdragon 855 Plus. The new processor will run at up to 2.96GHz compared to 2.84GHz that the Snapdragon 855 runs. The GPU, Adreno 640 is clocked 15% faster than the current Snapdragon 855 Mobile processor.

Snapdragon 855 Plus includes many of the latest technologies and features from Qualcomm Technologies related to gaming, AI and XR. Utilizing all cores, Snapdragon 855 Plus packs 3 times the power of the Snapdragon 845. Smartphones using the Snapdragon 855 Plus will be available from 2H 2019. One of the phones to feature the 855 Plus processor will be the Asus ROG Phone II.
