Fire TV users will now once again be able to watch YouTube videos on the native YouTube app instead of Silk and Firefox Browser as Google and Amazon announced the availability of official YouTube apps on Fire TV. On the other hand, Amazon Prime Video will be made available on Android TV and Chromecast.
The flagship YouTube app and YouTube Kids will now support Fire TV. Users will be able to sign in to their existing YouTube account, access their full library of content, and play videos in 4K HDR at 60 fps on supported devices. In addition, standalone YouTube TV and YouTube Kids apps will also launch later this year on Fire TV devices and Fire TV Edition smart TVs where available.
Amazon Prime Video will be available on Chromecast and Chromecast built-in, along with Android TV users. The apps will be available on these devices in the coming months.
