After Samsung Galaxy Fold, Huawei at the ongoing Mobile World Congress announced its take on the foldable phone, coined as Mate X. Powered by the latest Kirin 980 processor, the Mate X features two OLED displays that when opened makes it a 8-inch screen device. When folded, the device is 6.6-inches for front panel, 6.38-inches for back panel. The unfolded resolution is 2480 x 2200 pixels and folded resolution is 2480 x 1148 pixels for front panel, 2480 x 892 pixels for back panel.
In terms of storage and memory, the phone comes with 8GB RAM and 512GB internal storage, the phone also supports NM card up to 256GB. The phone comes with Leica optics and features a 40-megapixel wide angle lens, 16-megapixel ultra wide angle lens and a 8-megapixel telephoto lens. The Mate X runs on Android 9.0 with EMUI 9.1.1 and has a battery capacity of 4500mAh. It also supports 55W Huawei SuperCharge. The Mate X is the first phone from Huawei to feature 5G network support. The pricing of the phone would be around USD 2600.
