Qualcomm has launched the successor to the Snapdragon 660 mobile processor, the Snapdragon 670 in its 600 series processor range. The new chipset features 8x Qualcomm Kyro 360 CPU with clock speed up to 2.0 GHz, Adreno 615 GPU and X12 LTE modem with download speeds up to 600 Mbps and upload speeds up to 150 Mbps. In terms of imaging, the chipset can support a 25-megapixel single camera and 16-megapixel dual-cameras with zero shutter lag, hybrid autofocus, Ultra HD 4K video capture at 30fps and Electronic Image Stabilisation (EIS). It also supports 4K video playback. The display screen support is FHD+.
The new processor has enhanced AI that delivers up to 1.8X AI performance as compared to the previous generation. In terms of battery performance, it features Qualcomm Quick Charge 4+ technology can take devices from empty to 50% in 15 minutes.
