Honor and Huawei both are launching phones frequently in India. Last month it was the budget premium phone, the Honor 9N and today Honor has announced its gaming-focused phone, the Honor Play. The highlight of the phone is that it comes with Honors GPU Turbo technology that provides enhanced gaming experience and 4D gaming experience with smart shock. The GPU Turbo Tech currently supports PUBG game in India that delivers more fps than the phone without the GPU Turbo. As per Honor, GPU Turbo drives graphics processing efficiency up to 60 percent while overall SoC power consumption is saved by 30 percent. This helps in reducing the battery consumption while gaming.
The Honor Play is a slim and sleek phone with an FHD+ display with a 19:9 aspect ratio. The phone looks premium thanks to its unibody metal design. All Honor and Huawei phones are powered by its own Kirin processors and this one is no exception. The Honor Play is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 970AI processor, the flagship from Huawei stable. The phone will come in two memory options, 4GB and 6GB, however, the storage remains the same as 64GB across both. In terms of camera, the Honor Play features 16-megapixel and 2-megapixel dual AI setup at the rear. The AI provides object recognition capabilities to the camera. It also has EIS, AI Stabilisation, wide aperture mode for the rear camera. The front camera is also 16-megapixel. The phone comes with a hybrid dual-SIM slot, 3.5mm audio jack and Type-C USB port for charging. The battery is 3750mAh with fast charging support. Honor Play also supports Face Unlock and features a rear-finger print sensor. The phone runs on Android Oreo with Honors EMUI 8.2.
The 4GB/64GB device will retail for Rs. 19,999 and the 6GB/64GB will retail for Rs. 23,999 and will be available from 4PM today on Amazon.in. You can buy the phone in Navy Blue and Midnight Black colour options.
