Apple updated the MacBook Pro series with 8th generation Intel Core processors, support for up to 32GB of memory, a True Tone display and an improved third-generation keyboard for quieter typing. The Retina display on MacBook Pro with 500 nits of brightness and support for the P3 wide color gamut now comes with True Tone technology.
Apple T2 chip makes it to the new MacBook Pro, providing MacBook users an enhanced system security with secure boot support and on-the-fly encryption of storage. It also brings “Hey Siri” to the Mac for the first time.
The 15-inch MacBook Pro features the 6-core Intel Core i7 processor, up to 32GB DDR4 RAM, Radeon Pro discrete graphics with 4GB video memory, up to 4TG SSD storage, true tone display, Apple T2 chip, Touch Bar and Touch ID.
On the other hand, the 13-inch MacBook Pro runs on Quad-core Intel Core i5 or i7 processor, Integrated Intel Iris Plus graphics card with 128NB eDRAM, up to 2TB of storage, true tone display, Apple T2 chip, Touch Bar and Touch ID.
Starting at $1,799 and $2,399 respectively, the updated 13-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar and 15-inch MacBook Pro models with Touch Bar are available today through apple.com and in select Apple retail stores and Apple Authorized Resellers later this week.
