Although the ZenFone Zoom was not much accepted by photography enthusiasts, Asus has once again gambled by launching the ZenFone Zoom S. Asus claims that the ZenFone Zoom S is the world’s slimmest and lightest 5.5-inch smartphone. Targetted at people who want to click photos from their smartphones, the ZoomFone S features dual-camera setup. It features 12-megapixel (SuperPixel) camera, 25mm, f/1.7 aperture, 6p lens, 81.8-degree field of view, 1/2.55” type sensor size, 1.4um pixel size Sony IMX362 sensor, OIS, 4K UHD video recording with EIS, RAW shooting support with Android 7.0 (N) and the other 12-megapixel zoom camera with 59mm (2.3x true optical zoom), f/2.6 aperture and 1/3.42” type sensor size. The front camera is 13-megapixel SONY IMX214 sensor with a f/2.0 aperture lens. It also features a new screen flash mode that uses the display as a flash in low-light environments. ZenFone Zoom S shoots videos at 4K (3840×2160) at 30 frames per second, along with the subject tracking autofocus system allowing the smartphone to continuously focus on subjects.
The phone is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 625 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. It also features a large 5000mAh battery. The phone runs on Android 6.0 with ZenUI 3.0 and is upgradable to Android 7. The rear of the phone also features a finger print scanner. The phone will be available in Navy Black and Glacier Silver colours and will retail for Rs. 26,999 on Flipkart.com.
