Android Nougat is yet to find a home in majority of Android devices around the world but this little fact doesn’t deter Google to announce the upcoming Android. Admittedly, it’s just a developer preview but interested users can try out the dev build of the Android O.
While Google will delve into more details at Google I/O in May, Google did release some information on what improvements Android O brings to the table.
Improving battery life is the focus for Google, which is why Android O will set a background limit on the apps. Moreover, there are changes in the notification channels, picture-in-picture for devices, adaptive icons, wider colour gamut and more.
The preview is currently available on the Android Emulator and on devices like Nexus 5X, Nexus 6P, Nexus Player, Pixel, Pixel XL and Pixel C.
