Sony has confirmed that the rollout of PlayStation 4’s latest software update will begin from tomorrow. Codenamed Sasuke, the biggest addition in the upcoming v4.50 update is the external HDD support. This means users can now attach any USB 3.0 hard drive to the PS4 and play games. Sony says PS4 supports a minimum of 256GB or maximum of 8TB of external storage. Another solid addition is the Boost Mode for PlayStation Pro users. With Boost, select legacy titles will be able to take advantage of PS4 Pro’s faster processing and improved graphics.
Other enhancements include improved 2D images on PS VR, Voice Chat for Remote Play, PS Messages and Communities app updates and more.
