Sony rolls out Android Nougat for Xperia series smartphones

Sony announced the rollout plan for Android Nougat for its Xperia series of smartphones. The following devices will be receiving the Android 7.0: Xperia Z3+, Xperia Z4 Tablet, Xperia Z5, Xperia Z5 Compact, Xperia Z5 Premium, Xperia X, Xperia XA, Xperia XA Ultra, Xperia X Performance – and Xperia XZ & Xperia X Compact.

With regards to the Sony Xperia XZ, the new features that would be available are:
Multi-window support – run two apps simultaneously and double tap to switch between each
Longer battery life – with improved battery life powered by Google & Sony Xperia
Messaging – with the latest Messaging app you can share videos and audio with a few taps
