OnePlus 3T ups the flagship game with Snapdragon 821

OnePlus 3 won many accolades, it is a value-for-money flagship smartphone that gives 50k phones a run for its money. OnePlus again upped the smartphone value by bringing in the OnePlus 3T. While the phone may resemble its older sibling, the OnePlus 3, what differentiates OnePlus 3T is the new hardware.

The OnePlus 3T is powered by the latest Snapdragon 821 processor, 6GB RAM and 128GB of storage instead of 64GB that the OnePlus 3 comes in. Another bump is in the battery of the OnePlus 3T, it comes with 3400mAh battery while the OnePlus 3 features 3000mAh featuring the same Dash charge technology. The OnePlus 3T also features an enhanced camera over the OnePlus 3, although it’s the same 16-megapixel lens, it adds ‘Intelligent Pixel Technology’ for reduction in noise while capturing photos in low light. Besides this, it also now comes with a sapphire lens and improved electronic image stabilisation. The front camera is upped to 16-megapixel as compared to the 8-megapixel found in the OnePlus 3 and also comes with smile capture. The phone runs on OxygenOS with Android Marshmallow. Later this year, OnePlus will release Android 7.1 based OxygenOS to both OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T.

The OnePlus 3T is not announced for India yet, however, in the USA it will launch on 22 November for USD 439 and in the Europe for EUE 439 on 28th November. Like the OnePlus 3, the OnePlus 3T will also come in Gunmetal and Gold colour.
