Apple launched the new iPhone 7 with new components including the Home button. It replaced the old Home button with an all new advanced solid-state button designed to be durable, responsive, and pressure sensitive. However, a MacRumors forum member ‘iwayne’ claims about issues cropping up with his iPhone 7 Home button. Apparently, his device turned off, which was followed by a reboot and malfunctioning of the haptic feedback.
While this seems to be a hardware failure, tight integration of iPhone’s hardware and software enables the new iPhone to detect the button as malfunctioned and instead use the on-screen Home button. Too bad, this iPhone 7 has to see the doors of a service center so soon!
