Bringing back nostalgia seems to be the strategy for Nintendo now. After hooking everyone to Pokemon Go, Nintendo is back to lure the 80s generation (and the new ones) with Nintendo Entertainment System: NES Classic Edition. The console is said to be a replica of Nintendo’s original home console but can be plugged into your latest HDTV with the HDMI port and play 30 pre-loaded games from that era.
The console will launch on November 11 for an affordable price tag of $59.99 and will also sell additional controllers for $9.99 apiece. Nintendo says the controller when connected to a Wii or a Wii U can be used to play Virtual Console NES games.
The games that will be pre-installed in the console are as follows:
Balloon Fight
BUBBLE BOBBLE
Castlevania
Castlevania II: Simon’s Quest
Donkey Kong
Donkey Kong Jr.
DOUBLE DRAGON II: THE REVENGE
Dr. Mario
