Lenovo today announced their new Vibe K5 Plus device for the Indian market. Nomenclature aside, the K5 Plus is actually toned down version of Lenovo’s recently launched Vibe K4 Note.
Priced at Rs. 8,499, Vibe K5 Plus touts entertainment features like TheaterMax and Dolby Atmos support. On the hardware side, the phone comes with a 1.7GHz 616 octa-core processor, 2GB RAM, 5-inch Full HD display, 16GB internal memory, microSD card up to 128GB, 4G LTE support, 13 megapixel camera and front-facing 5 megapixel camera and 2750mAh battery.
The phone runs Android 5.1 out of the box, which is disappointing because Android 6 has been out for many months now.
The phone will sell from March 23 on Flipkart in colour options of Champagne gold, Platinum silver and Graphite grey. Lenovo and Flipkart will also offer exchange and upgrade offers to Lenovo A6000 and A6000 Plus users during the first sale.
