In addition to announcing the Redmi 2, Xiaomi also announced the availability of the Mi Pad. The Mi Pad tablet will go on sale on the same day as Redmi 2 i.e. March 24 and is attractively priced at Rs. 12,999. The price is pretty interesting due to the fact that it is a power packed tablet with Tegra K1 2.2GHz quad-core processor on board, 2GB RAM, 7.9-inch 2048×1536 pixel resolution display, 8 megapixel main and 5 megapixel front-facing cameras, dual-band Wi-Fi 802.11ac, microSD card slot supporting up to 128GB and 6700mAh battery with a battery life of up to 11 hours.
Mi Pad will be available to consumers without any prior registration.
