We have got quite a few solutions based on Android OS that transforms your regular HDTV to a Smart TV one and the latest entrant is iRevo with its SmartTV and SmartPC devices. Both devices boast a similar type of hardware but differs on few aspects like the software interface and the SmartPC is bundled with a keyboard and a mouse.
Targeted at first time users, the devices enable users to experience all the goodness of an Android-based device on their TV, which means you can easily access web browser to surf the internet, play games, watch videos or listen to music.
SmartTV and SmartPC are based on Android 4.4 KitKat and features an Active Tile interface (inspired by Windows 8 Tiles UI) and WebTop interface respectively. Users can download new apps, games and movies from Play Store and iRevo banks on its Cloud platform to bring curated content to its consumers.
Hardware-wise, both devices are powered by a quad-core CPU and 1GB of RAM along with 8 or 16GB of internal storage.
iRevo SmartTV powered is priced at Rs. 8,499 with Air Mouse or Rs. 7,499 with IR Remote whereas the iRevo SmartPC with wireless keyboard and mouse starts at Rs. 7,499.
