OnePlus One to sell without invites tomorrow [India only]

If you wanted any more proof about the fierce competition amongst smartphone manufacturers in India, check out the latest announcement by OnePlus. Xiaomi’s Mi 4 is due for a release tomorrow and to counter the launch, OnePlus and Amazon have announced to sell the OnePlus One without the requirement of any invite. OnePlus One follows an invitation system, which means any interested buyer will need an invite code from the company or any existing buyer to buy the device.

Xiaomi Mi 4 and OnePlus One are spec’d very similarly but Mi 4 is priced about Rs. 2,000 cheaper with limited 16GB internal storage compared to OnePlus One’s built-in 64GB.

Nevertheless, it’s all good for consumers and if you’ve been waiting to purchase the One, you should head to Amazon.in tomorrow at 10AM.
