Google introduced the Android One program earlier this year to cater to the affordable smartphone segment with India being the first country. Now Google is expanding the program to India’s bordering countries as well with the second wave of Android One phones coming to Bangladesh, Nepal and Sri Lanka. Google wants to tap the neighbouring countries with slew of affordable Android smartphones and stock Android experience.
In addition to Micromax, Spice and Karbonn offerings, Bangladesh’s Symphony will launch the Roar A50. There’s no exact info as to which devices will arrive in Nepal and Sri Lanka.
