It’s raining Windows Phones in India. After Microsoft and Celkon, Lava has announced their maiden smartphone running Windows Phone 8.1. Lava’s Iris Win1 comes with a 1.2GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon quad-core processor, 1GB RAM and a 4-inch WVGA display. The phone also has a 5 megapixel BSI+ sensor at the back, front facing VGA camera, Dual SIM support (3G + 2G), 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot and 1950mAh battery.
Lava’s device is priced at Rs. 4,999 and seems to be a better offering than Celkon’s that has virtually the same hardware except for 512MB RAM.
