Xiaomi’s very first press event in India confirmed the arrival of Redmi Note and after four months of the confirmation, the Chinese brand has announced the release of Redmi Note. The phone will be offered in two variants – 3G and 4G with the 3G variant going on sale on December 2 for Rs. 8,999 on Flipkart whereas the 4G variant sold through Airtel by end of December for Rs. 9,999.
Both the variants are more or less the same except for two major differences (in addition to network) – the 4G variant is a single SIM device powered by Qualcomm’s 1.6GHz quad-core Snapdragon 400 and the 3G variant is a dual SIM phone with MediaTek 1.7GHz octa-core MT6592 chip.
Apart from that, we’re looking at a phone with 5.5-inch HD IPS display, 2GB RAM, 8GB internal memory, microSD card slot, 13 megapixel main camera with 5 megapixel front-facing camera and 3100mAh battery.
The registration for the 3G variant will begin from tomorrow on Flipkart whereas the 4G Redmi Note registration will begin in mid-December.
