Google has released a new app update that makes your Chromecast more awesome than before. Google has added a new feature called Backdrop that allows users to replace the photographs on the screen with their own. In addition to that, users can even pull images from various galleries and museums, lifestyle images from NYT, Guardian (US only) or satellite imagery.
Ogling the images is one thing but if some image piques your interest, you can even learn on about them by opening the Chromecast app or simply ask Google “What’s on my Chromecast?”
The update is rolling out as we speak and will be rolled out to all supported Android and iOS devices.
