Android One users will be eligible for few exclusives it releases in India later today. Consumers opting for either of the Android One device, will get free data from Airtel, offline YouTube viewing access and free subscription of magazines on Google Newsstand.
Google promises free software updates for up to 2 years and if you’re an Airtel user, any update to up to 100MB in size won’t be counted towards the overall data usage. Airtel users will also get 200MB of Play Store downloads for the first six months. UPDATE: Airtel’s promotion will last for 6 months only.
Android One users will also get 12 months subscription to publications on Google Newsstand.
The biggest perk of all is the ability to watch YouTube videos offline, enabling users to save on mobile data. Google hasn’t detailed how the feature will work but promises to release it soon.

Customers can enjoy 100 MB of data per month for 6 months for software updates and 200 MB per month for 6 months for app downloads and updates on the first prepaid active Airtel SIM inserted in the Android One device.”
