Gear VR: Samsung’s first Virtual Reality Headset

Galaxy Note Edge wasn’t the only thing that Samsung announced something innovative at the Unpacked event. Check out the Gear VR Innovator Edition that is a virtual reality accessory that needs the brains of Galaxy Note 4 whereas the software is handled by Oculus Inc., makers of Oculus Rift.

Although the Gear VR is predominantly targeted at early adopters, enthusiasts, the accessory in conjunction with the Galaxy Note 4 will allow users to enjoy full 360 3D video, immersive gaming and lots more.

Samsung will launch the Gear VR later this year in black and white and will even bundle a 16GB microSD card pre-loaded with content.
