Gionee teases new Elife S phone slimmer than S5.5

Gionee’s Elife S5.5 currently holds the title to be the world’s slimmest smartphone but it seems the Chinese company is pushing the barrier further as they tease a phone slimmer than the Elife S5.5. Going by the image and the recent leak, it seems we’ll get a phone that’s just 5mm thick.

The phone however, won’t be the successor of the Elife S5.5 as the leak points to specs lower than the first Elife S handset.

According to the previous leak, the 5mm phone will have a 4.8-inch 720p display, an 8 megapixel rear-facing and a front-facing 5 megapixel camera, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1GB RAM, 16GB of internal storage and 2050mAh battery.
