Earlier today, Samsung announced its latest device for the South Korean market – the Galaxy W. The device is interesting because of the marketing strategy that Samsung has adopted. Samsung pitches the Galaxy W as a smartphone with a 7-inch display rather than a tablet.
The Galaxy W has a faux leather and stitch design and features a 7-inch HD (720p) display, 1.2GHz quad-core processor, 1.5GB RAM, 16GB internal memory, 8 megapixel main camera with 2 megapixel front-facing camera, LTE-A support, microSD card slot, 16GB internal memory and 3200mAh battery.
Additionally, the 245g tablet runs Android 4.3 along with software enhancements like Split View, Multi Window, Pop Up Play.
Galaxy W will sell through SKT in red, white and black for 499,400 won.
