Nokia names Rajeev Suri as the new President and CEO

Nokia today announced the appointment of Rajeev Suri as the new President and CEO. Suri will assume the new position from May 1 with Risto Siilasmaa who was serving as an interim CEO will focus on his role as Chairman of Nokia’s Board of Directors.

Rajeev Suri joined Nokia in 1995 and has key positions in the organisation, including as CEO of NSN (Nokia Siemens Network) since October 2009.

Having sold off the devices and services business to Microsoft, Nokia will now concentrate on its networks business.
