Samsung is going big in the wearable tech category. After announcing the Gear 2 duo, Samsung announced the Gear Fit alongside the Galaxy S5. It does not have a big screen like the Gear smartwatch but features the industry first 1.84-inch curved Super AMOLED display (432×128). Samsung says Gear Fit works as a standalone device with all the pedometer, heart rate sensor, sleep tracking features or can be used as a companion device with the Samsung device that will notify users of calls, emails, messages and Smart Relay support.
The Gear Fit is certified with IP67, making it resistant against dust and water, Bluetooth 4.0 and 210mAh battery with up to 5 days of battery life.
The Gear Fit will be up for sale from April 11 along with the Galaxy S5.
