Sony announces PS4 for India

UPDATE: Sony says the launch will be supported with over 20 games and expects to expand the range to over 30 games by the end of the year. The extra controller and PS4 Eye Camera will cost Rs. 4,990 each.

As expected, Sony has announced the PS4 for the Indian market. Sony’s latest generation console will be available from January 6 at a price of Rs. 39,990. We’re awaiting full details on the games, accessories but the PS4 features a single-chip custom 8-cores AMD Jaguar CPU with Radeon graphics, 500GB of storage, 8GB of GDDR5 RAM, 6x Blu-ray drive, USB 3.0, Wi-Fi, Ethernet port, Bluetooth 2.1, HDMI, analog-AV out and digital output (optical).
